About Webscout

Full-stack network visibility and intelligence

Our story

Why we built Webscout

We are former government analysts and intelligence operators, with decades of combined experience building network visibility at national scale.

In the physical world, wars are won on logistics. In cyberspace, they are won on visibility. Every digital threat starts with a connection, and the side that can see it, detect it and respond to it holds the advantage.

We built Webscout to give that advantage back to the defenders who need it most: teams in government, defence, intelligence and critical infrastructure.

What we do

Securing network visibility for critical entities at home and abroad

01At home

Your in-house sources, the network telemetry you already collect, in one place.

  • Zeek logs
  • Cloud logs
  • PCAP
  • Web logs
  • Firewall flows

02Abroad

Webscout’s own collection, inside the networks adversaries route through.

  • Tor
  • Residential proxies
  • Commercial VPNs
  • ORB networks

In one platform

  • Analyse
  • Detect
  • Respond

At home, the Webscout Observability Platform brings the telemetry you already collect into one place and puts every IP address in context, from location and ownership to VPN, Tor and residential proxy attribution. Your team can analyse, detect and respond in one interface.

Abroad, Covert network flows shows the traffic inside Tor, residential proxies, commercial VPNs and ORB networks, including activity that never reaches your perimeter. On-demand honeypots and bespoke collection extend that view where you need it.

Use all of it, or only the parts you need: the platform, our data in the tools you already run, or the intelligence on its own.

How we operate

Building for the people who cannot afford to be wrong

Vetted access

Every organisation is vetted before it is given access, and we turn down those who do not meet the bar. Requests that reference a trust group or an existing partner are prioritised. Intelligence is only as safe as the people it is shared with.

Independent and European

Webscout is designed, built and operated in Denmark, by an independent company under Danish law. The cloud version of the platform runs in a sovereign European cloud, operated by Webscout itself.

Sovereign by design

Run the platform in our sovereign European cloud or on your own premises, containerised and standalone, and air-gapped for select partners in high-side environments. On your premises, your network data and investigations never leave your boundary.

Intelligence in our DNA

The people who build Webscout have done the work it supports. Intelligence operators and engineers in Copenhagen run the service around the clock, so the platform, the data and the collection behind it are watched over by practitioners.

Partners across the alliance

Webscout is trusted by leading security teams across the NATO alliance, in government, defence and critical infrastructure. References are available on request.

The connection in context

The actor at 192.0.2.140 sent traffic into Tor. It left through the exit node 203.0.113.24 and was relayed by a residential proxy from the household address 198.51.100.73, the address in the government organisation’s logs. Webscout’s vantage points on either side of Tor and at the proxy link the connection back to the actor.

One unexplained IP address becomes a route back to the actor.

Illustrative only. Webscout does not claim visibility across entire covert networks, only select nodes within them. Tracing a connection back to its origin, as shown here, is therefore theoretical.

Webscout works exclusively with vetted partners in government, defence, intelligence and critical infrastructure.Contact info@webscout.io to learn more.
